Bobbi Kristina Brown’s Cause of Death Revealed

A Fulton County Medical Examiner has revealed that Whitney’s late daughter, Bobbi Kristina, died due to drowning and a deadly cocktail of narcotics.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s autopsy report was released after a judge in Atlanta issued an order on Thursday to unseal the report, following requests from the media. And it shows that Bobbi Kristina died due to “Immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication.” The drugs found in her system were marijuana, alcohol, a cocaine-related substance called benzoylecgonine, benzodiazepines (prescription anti-anxiety meds) and morphine.

The report lists the full cause of death as pneumonia and encephalopathy. Which means her lungs filled with water and her brain was damaged clearly caused by the time she spent submerged in her bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina’s autopsy results was initially sealed been because the Fulton County D.A. thought it would interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation into whether her boyfriend Nick Gordon was involved in her death.

The Medical Examiner was unable to determine if Bobbi’s death was “due to intentional or accidental causes.” That could go a long way in clearing Gordon criminally.

She was buried in August at the Fairview cemetery in Westfield, New Jersey, next to her mother, who drowned in a bath in 2012 on the eve of the Grammy Awards ceremony.
