Singer, Ciara and her boyfriend Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson, are instituting a different way in today’s world after the couple has decided to prioritize celibacy in their relationship.
The 29-year-old mother of one revealed to CBS This Morning, that implementing the “no-sex policy” for religious reasons in her new relationship with 26-year-old Wilson has been a great challenge she eagerly accepted.
“It’s [celibacy] awesome. I think the cool thing is just being able to share our journey with some other people like us,” said the Goodies singer. “It’s a great challenge. I can definitely say that. But it’s awesome because we get to really challenge ourselves, get to know each other and really build a foundation.”
According to Daily Mail, She acknowledges the honor she feels to share their journey to other Christian members.
Wilson who had made the public disclosure about the couple’s celibacy decision via social media, remains firm in his religion-guided choice.
[Ciara] was on tour, and I was looking at her in the mirror, and God spoke to me,” Wilson said. “He said, ‘I need you to lead her.’ I told her, ‘What would you do if we took all that ‘extra stuff’ off the table, and just did it Jesus’ way?'”
As expected, Ciara’s ex-fiancée Future, expressed his opinion about their claim saying that God will never tell him that. The rapper’s Twitter rant followed a public picture post of Wilson holding his one-year-old son, Future Zahir Wilburn.
Ciara and Russell dated since mid-April of this year. She was engaged to Future before alleged infidelity led to their split last year.
