Cynthia Jele’s award winning book turned movie Happiness is a Four Letter Word is set for release in 2016 with top actors from South Africa, Ghana, and Zimbabwe bringing the characters to life
The movie, Happiness is a Four Letter Word focuses on the lives of three women. They all try to balance their lives and find love while climbing up the corporate ladder.

The romantic comedy features an impressive list of South Africa’s top actresses that includes Mmabatho Montsho, Khanyi Mbau and Renate Stuurman with three of Africa’s top leading men Chris Attoh, Tongayi Chirisa, and Hlomla Dandala providing the “needed” distraction in their lives.
The South African film, which bears the same title as the novel, was written by Busisiwe Ntilintili and directed by Thabang Moleya. The book’s author, Cynthia Jele, picked up the Commonwealth writer’s Prize: Best First Book in 2011 and the 2011 M-net’s literary Award
The movie is set to premiere in February 2016 and we’ll keep our fingers crossed to see if the movie adaption will match the quality of the book itself.
