Former New York Jets running back Chris Johnson, 29, is healing from a bullet wound after he was shot yesterday morning in a drive-by shooting that killed one man and injured another.
Police say a vehicle pulled up to the Jeep the men were in and opened fire hitting Johnson in the shoulder.
The other passenger, Reggie Johnson, also 29, suffered wounds to the shoulder, hand and leg, but both men are reported to be in stable condition.
The driver, Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, was killed in the shooting which is now being investigated as a homicide case.
The Jets gave a statement that said,
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Chris and everyone impacted by this tragic event.”
