Sometimes, the past eventually catches up to you no matter what.
Unfortunately, that’s the case for 61-year-old former pro wrestler, Terry Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, who is paying heavily for a racial tirade from eight years ago.
The National ENQUIRER and RadarOnline.com after a joint investigation uncovered and shared Hogan’s sordid pillow talk in a report that has set social media ablaze.
Soon after the release last week, the WWE released a statement confirming it had “terminated its contract” with Hogan, adding:
“WWE is committed to embracing and celebrating individuals from all backgrounds as demonstrated by the diversity of our employees, performers and fans worldwide.”
The iconic wrester has literally been wiped off of WWE as an employee. His termination and ‘extermination’ came as a result of hearing Hogan’s abusive and hateful use of the N-word back on the leaked tape on which he speaks brazenly on his daughter’s relationship.
“I am racist, to a point, fu**ing ni**ers…I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f**k some ni**er, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot-tall ni**er worth a hundred million dollars! Like a basketball player!” said Hogan to his company, without knowledge of the conversation being taped.
The consequences mounted heavily for the WWE legend despite his apology to People.com on Friday.
Hogan has since been removed as a judge on Tough Enough, WWE’s reality competition that began its sixth season last month. The WWE has almost wiped out all mentions of the body builder from its website beginning with him no longer listed as a member of the WWE Hall of Fame, his merchandise removed from the WWE Shop, and a search for his official WWE Superstar bio displaying, “You are not authorized to access this page.”
Since recent events, many of Hogan’s fans, friends and family has shown support in their own ways, with one fan comparing President Obama’s use o the N-word with Hogan’s use on twitter, saying,
“Bi-racial President Obama uses N word, is applauded and keep his job. @HulkHogan uses N word, is vilified and loses his job.”
