Interception: New Ghanian Action Movie Set For Premier

A new action movie, Interception, is set for release and it features a long list of top Ghanian actors in challenging action roles.

While the number of movies from Ghana as gone down a bit, the quality of their movies has not been affected in anyway. This is reflected in the trailer for the new movie, Interception.

The movie, Interception, is an action trailer built around a star studded team of elite law enforcement team. They are put together by the Country’s government to fight crime and carry out special assignments.

The movie features Chris Attoh, John Dumelo, Adjetey Anang, Ama K. Abebrese, Jasmine Baroudi, Benny Blanco, and Pascal Aka, portraying action characters in ways that are atypical for African movies.

Interception is written by Nina Lalwani, and produced by Lalwani and Prakash Lalwani.

Pascal Aka earned the director’s credit of this movie, if the scenes in the trailer are anything close to the complete body of work.  Aka might just be up for director of the year award, if the film lives up to the hype.

Interception is set in a highly developed Ghanian state with a lot of cutting edge scenes that are reminiscent of the series, 24.

The movie is set for premiere on December 12 in, Accra, Ghana, before it will be taken out of the country and put up on digital platforms.

Although African movies and action scenes rarely mix, we’ll be looking forward to see if the producers get it right on this movie.
