Jay Z Says Hip Hop Has Reduced Racism

We all know racism has been a defining aspect of our awesome society, but has hip-hop reduced racism?

Rap mogul, Jay-Z certainly thinks so.

According to the star producer and rapper, Hip Hop has influenced people from all different races and backgrounds.

“I think that hip hop has done more for racial relations than most cultural icons…people listen to this music all around the world, and [they] took to this music.”

Jay believes that Hip Hop has helped to bring people together.

In a video for the Oprah Winfrey Network honouring civil rights legends, he said:

“Before, people partied in separate clubs. There were hip-hop clubs and there were techno clubs. Now, people party together, and once you have people partying, dancing, and singing along to the same music, then conversations naturally happen after that.

What do you think?
