Kenya’s “king” of dance hall music, Mohamed Swabir aka Redsan, was arrested on Friday night on allegations of aiding terrorists.
The musician was then interrogated on Saturday by the anti-terror police in Nairobi.
The Badder Than Most hit-singer spent the night at both the Central police station and Kilimani divisional headquarters with his three other friends arrested along with him.
According to a close source to the music star, Redsan and his entourage were arrested along the Uhuru Highway on their way to South B estate.
The source claims that the star did not see the police wave at him so he drove on, causing the police to generate the car and plate number to their superiors.
It seems the group was arrested for “holding unlicensed guns” after being trailed for over six hours.
And after verifying who he and the rest of his entourage was, Redman got released at about 4pm on Saturday.
