While a lot of ladies dream of the day they’ll walk down the aisle, say I do to that special someone, and raise a family, the reverse is the case for Ghanian hiplife female musician, Mzbel. She is not interested in getting married because she feels marriage is a boring institution.
The singer became popular after the release of her song, “16 years,” has been off the scene for a while. Now, it seems she’s really trying to get everyone’s attention with her controversial interviews.
Mzbel in an interview with Ghanian tabloid, The Sun, gave a rather candid and awkward thoughts on marriage.
“I never say never; maybe I would meet someone who would sweep me off my feet. But it’s not part of my plan now. I don’t think it’s necessary to go somewhere and swear that you own someone forever. It seems boring.”
The singer went further to say she didn’t really believe in making anything official when it comes to relationship, because she believes in going with the flow.
“If we love each other and we feel we want to spend the rest of our lives together, we don’t have to go and swear somewhere. Rather, just do it and have fun. It’s nonsense. If I love you and you love me, let’s be together and when we are tired of each other we go our separate ways.”
Mzbel also made it clear that she doesn’t like sex and only engages in the fact just to “please her man” ( hmmm hmm!!). In her own words:
“I don’t like sex but when I am in a relationship, once in a while, I do it so I can please my partner. My boyfriend always complains that I cannot do this, I cannot do that, and I tell him baby teach me.”
Well, if Mzbel is trying to get everyone’s attention, she definitely achieving the needed results. Because everyone in the Ghanian entertainment circle has been talking about her controversial interviews for days now.
We’ll be waiting to hear that she’s got a new song coming because with our favourite celebrities, there is really no smoke without fire.
