Omoni Oboli is set to take the UK and Ghana by storm with her new movie, The First Lady.
Fans outside Nigeria will now get a chance to see the comedy movie which is pulling in high numbers in cinemas across Nigeria. The First Lady which is produced and directed by Omoni Oboli is definitely worth all the hype it’s getting as it is a “real clean” comedy with no unnecessary scenes and dramas.
Alex Ekubo brought on his A-game in this movie and so did all the cast member of this movie which includes Chinedu Ikedieze, Yvonne Jegede, Joseph Benjamin, Udoka Oyeka and Tony Monjaro alongside Omoni Oboli.
Omoni Oboli, whose director and production debut Being Mrs Elliot got her rave reviews, has been able to establish herself as a Nollywood big player in a short period. It won’t be big surprise if the movie, First Lady, dominates all the movie awards for 2016.

In a classic Cinderella like story, a prostitute, Michelle, is stuck in a world she couldn’t escape from. Her hope that one day a Prince Charming would rescue her from it all, seems lost. A heir to an empire, Kenechi, is transformed into a child by an overly ambitious uncle who wants the empire to himself. Bound by a shared destiny, Michelle finds that she might be doing the rescuing until she realises there’s no escaping her pimp (Obama), who would do anything to keep her as his First Lady.
