Oprah Winfrey Weight Watchers ads are going to help kick off your New Year’s resolution. Weight Watchers released an ad today, starring the billionaire talk show host that was honest and emotional.
The weight loss company had been suffering in stock prices, and influence. After a long-time battling other diet/weight loss companies like Jenny Craig, Curves, SlimFast, and NutriSystem, it seems like the double W might be in it to win it. Oprah Winfrey invested in the company this year, and they had a rapid upswing.

Weight Watchers offers food options, exercise options, support groups, and personalized one-on-one coaching. All of which are reportedly great, but losing weight like anything else that takes time and effort, takes well… time and effort. It won’t happen unless the person truly decides they are going to do it, so no amount of services can make that happen.
Although I would like to believe that weight watchers actually cares that people are healthy, I know they are happy that Oprah’s presences has seriously boosted their products. I mean the Oprah effect touches everything, She releases a list of ‘Favorite Things’ and they instantly become Christmas must-have items.
In the ads, Oprah shares her own weight loss struggles. It makes the mega-star personable and it forges a connection with us regular folk with Oprah. I would sign up to be in a Weight Watchers support group, if Oprah attended. I mean who wouldn’t? I guess that’s what Weight Watchers figured out as well.
The video is powerful, and it chronicles Oprah’s multiple tries and failed attempts at losing weight. No one knows branding like Oprah, but it’s great to see her open up in a short ad that seems more like a story and a journey than an advertisement.
So as Oprah says, “Are you ready? Let’s do this together.”
