Swizz Beatz is a big fan of Nigerian music and the producer has officially taken his love for the music from Nigeria a notch higher by featuring on the song, “Sekem”, by McGalaxy.
Swizz Beatz has in recent times promoted Nigerian music on his social media pages, especially the track “Sekem.” His love for the song was so great that he invited the Nigerian pop singer, McGalaxy, to the United States, so Beatz could make a remix of the track.
The duo hit the studio in New York and are currently working the remix of the song. They shared clips from their session on social media w shows both musicians having a lot fun in the studio.
The Nigerian performing artistes, McGalaxy, broke into the scene in 2013 with the song, “Nek Unek” featuring Davido. He has since spawned other hits including “Sekem” and “Go Gaga.”
Jay-z was informed of the collaboration as according to McGalaxy, the hip hop mogul sent him a bottle of cognac for the special studio session.
Earlier in the year, Swizz Beatz had indicated his love for the song, and even shared clips of himself and his son dancing to the music on his instagram page.
The song, “Sekem”, infuses a lot of African beats. Its going to be interesting to see how Swizz Beatz intends to blend and remix the popular number.
The very excited McGalaxy shared the news his instagram page and he now joins an impressive list of Nigeria artistes who have collaborated with international acts.
