Silento turned up this past summer with his hit Watch me (Whip/Nae Nae) and now the song is literally beginning to pay off even more.
The 17-year-old has gotten a contract with this mega hit and we are now ‘watching him’ cash in $100k for the song alone.
Capital Records is taking its chance on the young hitmaker, trusting him to deliver with up to four albums!
Silento, whose video for the single went viral in June and even after its summer debut, gaining over 500 million views (and still counting) on YouTube.
In his contract, Silento has also been promised an additional $50k once the label gives the go on his debut album.
The contract which was filed with the court shows Capitol believes the Atlanta-born teenager is more than a one hit wonder with projections that the rising star will bring in anywhere from $50,000 to $500,000 in sales for his debut project.
So far, “Watch Me” has certainly battled its way to be with other top artists, reaching (and staying a while) at the top-five on the Billboard Hot 100.
Time of course will reveal. But until then, Silento can ‘Nae Nae’ and ‘whip it’ all the way to the bank and back with all his newly-accumulated zeros!
