Nigerian R&B superstar, Tiwa Savage, is set to release her sophomore studio album, IamRED, before the end of 2015.
Tiwa Savage has been absent from the entertainment scene since she took a long leave to cater for her new born baby. Now, she will be looking to regain her spot as the number one female music diva in the country with his album.
The Mavin Records singer has tentatively fixed the 15th of December for the release of the album. She’s already making moves to promote the album on social media with the hashtag #Red with support from her label boss, Don Jazzy and hubby, Teebillz.
However, no single from the album has been released yet and this might affect its performance. This method is not prevalent in the entertainment scene in Nigeria or probably anywhere in the world (except if you are Beyonce).
A source from the label indicated that this is largely due to the fact that the album release date had to be pushed back because of complications that came up when she gave birth to her first child, earlier this year. He said;
“The plan was to have released the album when she delivered her baby. But that didn’t happen because of the complications. Now, everyone is working to make sure December 15 happens. She wants her album to be the album of the season.”
The IamRED album will have production credit from Don Jazzy and Baby Fresh with collaborations from 2face Idibia, Wizkid, and other unnamed artistes.
