A Tribe called Quest rapper, Phife Dawg, has passed away at the age of 45.
Although the exact cause of his death is unknown, Phife Dawg has been battling with health with Type-I diabetes, which he developed in 1990. His health implication affected his performance as it left him drained of energy and unable to perform for long periods of time on stage. He got a kidney transplant in 2008 to help with his sickness and has been on a low key musically since.
Phife Dawg aka Malik Isaac Taylor was a founding member of the legendary hip-hop group, A Tribe Called Quest, with Q-Tip and Ali Shaheed Muhammad.
