Why Cable companies will have a change of Heart


It’s not a secret that the media industry is getting more digital every year. With the emergence if social media and the Facebook and YouTube of the world, most people now spend more time watching videos on the internet than they do watching the traditional television.

Streaming companies like Netflix have disrupted the dvd market in a catastrophic manner. I say catastrophic because Netflix has managed to take down a few dvd companies like blockbuster. So will the cable tv companies make the same mistake as blockbuster? they obviously see the trend changing, and changing fast. It’s only a matter of time before consumers cut the chords and internet tv will have majority of the market share. Some cable companies are already jumping on the wagon. CBS, ABC and others have joined forces to create HULU, a Netflix competitor.
